Day 4 report.
Proceedings began as they ended the day before with some pretty hefty blows being landed by both sides on the credibility of each others arguments. Nevertheless both sides concluded their respective summaries on the issues of; whether holiday can be taken during field break; whether travel to and from the installation was 'working time'; whether travel to and from training courses was working time; and whether some training was actually work. We don't need to go into detail here to explain the respective positions of each side, this has been clearly illustrated over the preceding days.
On a positive note, proceedings were concluded on time and the hearing ended around 14.30. That said, it appears there will almost certainly be appeals of some sort lodged regarding certain aspects of this case and this should become clearer in the next 3 weeks or so. Between now and then, we intend to bring you a comprehensive report on the 4 days proceedings on this site in the coming week, and this will be followed by an indepth report in the next edition of Blowout.
